At Gatewood Transportation (GTLLC), a big part of our committment to customer service in the delivery of our transportation services is safety. We are an asset-based company; all power units and trailers are owned by GTLLC. Routine maintenance is performed in-house at our very own maintenance garage, and performed by qualified service professionals. We also have strict hiring criteria, as well as regular and recurrent training for all driving staff.

Driver Training & Requirements

Ensuring that we have a capable and safe group of drivers helps us make our on-time delivery percentage (98.6% on-time for the last three calendar years) and goes a long way toward ensuring products are delivered not only on-time - but intact, with less than five (5) damaged cargo claims since 2000.

Once hired, all drivers must attend Quarterly Safety and Recurrent Training meetings. We also offer "Hours-of-Service" logging bonuses, a "Roadside Inspection" bonus, and a "Recruiting" bonus.

Our drivers share the same committment to customer service as our maintenance and logistics crews. GTLLC boasts no chargeable, "at fault" accidents since 2000.

Also, while the shipping industry typically has turnover rates between 100-120% annually, Gatewood Transportation's over-the-road driver turnover rate is less than thirty (30) percent over the last two (2) year period.
